Enright Asphalt recently completed a large parking lot striping project for a tuition free public charter school in Brighton that serves students in grades K through 8.

The school had recently undergone a full depth removal and replacement of its parking lot. While the overall traffic pattern and layout remained the same, the new asphalt surface meant there were no existing markings to follow. Every parking stall, directional marking, crosswalk, and ADA space had to be measured and laid out from scratch before any paint could be applied.

In total, the project included parking lot striping for approximately 96,000 square feet of pavement. Our crew laid out and striped 165 parking stalls along with directional arrows, stop bars, ADA markings, and pedestrian crosswalks throughout the property.

Because of the amount of layout work required, the project was completed over two days. The first phase focused heavily on measuring and establishing the layout to ensure proper spacing, traffic flow, and compliance with accessibility requirements. Once the layout was finalized, the striping crew completed the markings across the entire site.

Projects like this demonstrate that successful parking lot striping is about much more than simply applying paint. Proper layout is critical to creating an organized parking lot that functions safely for drivers, pedestrians, staff, and students.

The finished project provides the school with clearly marked parking areas, visible pedestrian crossings, and well-defined traffic patterns that will help students, parents, faculty, and visitors navigate the property safely for years to come.
