Project Overview
Enright Asphalt completed a large parking lot maintenance project for the Smucker’s processing facility in Longmont, Colorado. The project included cleaning the pavement, crack sealing, sealcoating approximately 163,000 square feet of asphalt, restriping the parking lot, and striping the facility’s concrete loading area.
Because the plant operates around the clock, maintaining employee access and parking throughout the project was the top priority. Careful planning allowed the work to move forward while minimizing disruptions to daily operations.

Challenges
Because this processing facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, keeping the parking lot available for employees required careful coordination. Rather than closing the entire parking lot, we divided the project into multiple phases. Each section was cleaned, crack-sealed, sealcoated, allowed to cure overnight, and restriped the following day before reopening it and moving on to the next area. This approach ensured employees always had available parking while the project remained on schedule.
Originally, the project included approximately two thirds of the parking lot. After seeing the quality and appearance of the completed work, the client expanded the project to include the remaining third. Enright Asphalt returned to complete the same maintenance process so the entire parking lot received the same level of protection and a consistent appearance.
Results
The completed project gave the entire parking lot a consistent, renewed appearance while protecting the asphalt from oxidation, moisture, and daily traffic. Fresh striping improved parking organization and visibility throughout the property, including the loading area.
By completing the work in phases, Enright Asphalt delivered the project without interrupting operations at one of the facility’s busiest parking areas.
