Enright Asphalt is a full-service asphalt paving contractor serving Denver and the Front Range. We handle every phase of commercial and residential asphalt work: parking lot paving, overlay and resurfacing, new construction paving for developers and general contractors, and precision asphalt milling. Whether you manage a commercial property that needs a new lot, a parking surface that needs resurfacing, or a development site that needs paving from the ground up, we deliver pavement built for Colorado’s climate.

We’ve been paving in the Denver metro for over 30 years. We hold an A+ BBB rating and our crews work with hot-mix asphalt, commercial-grade equipment, and the material knowledge that comes from three decades in this market. You get a local paving contractor that shows up on schedule, communicates clearly, and builds surfaces that hold up to Denver’s altitude, UV exposure, and freeze-thaw cycles.

Denver’s Climate Demands Denver Experience

Asphalt in Denver doesn’t behave the way it does at lower elevations. UV radiation at 5,280 feet oxidizes the asphalt binder faster, making surfaces brittle sooner. The Front Range sees 50 or more freeze-thaw cycles per winter, each one expanding trapped water by roughly 9% and widening every crack in the surface. Daily temperature swings of 40 to 50 degrees stress pavement in ways that other climates don’t produce.

We account for all of this in how we design, place, and compact every surface. Our hot-mix specifications, base depth requirements, and compaction standards are calibrated to what actually works here, not a generic spec sheet from a national franchise. That local expertise is why our pavement outlasts surfaces laid by contractors who don’t know this market.

Our Asphalt Paving Services

We provide a full range of asphalt paving services across the Denver metro. Each service is built on the same foundation: proper base preparation, the right mix design, professional-grade compaction, and attention to the details that determine how long your pavement lasts.

Parking Lot Paving

We pave new parking lots and repave existing ones for retail centers, office parks, medical facilities, multi-family complexes, and industrial properties. A parking lot is the first surface customers and tenants interact with on your property. We build lots that look professional, drain correctly, and hold up to daily traffic for 20 to 25 years with proper maintenance.

Our parking lot paving services include full site preparation, sub-base compaction, multi-lift hot-mix paving, ADA-compliant accessible spaces, curb and gutter work, striping, and sealcoating. We can phase work to keep portions of your lot open during construction.

Asphalt Overlay and Resurfacing

When your pavement is worn at the surface but the base is still solid, an overlay gives you a brand-new driving surface at 40 to 50% less than full replacement. We mill off the damaged top layer, apply a tack coat for bonding, and pave fresh hot-mix asphalt over the prepared surface. The result is a smooth, sealed surface that extends your pavement’s life by 8 to 15 years.

We offer both direct overlay and mill-and-overlay depending on your pavement condition. Mill and overlay is the most common method because it removes damaged material, creates a bonding surface, and maintains proper elevation at curbs, garage aprons, and drainage structures.

New Construction Paving

We partner with general contractors and developers on new construction paving across the Front Range. Our crews handle parking lots, access roads, drive aisles, loading areas, and full site paving on commercial, multi-family, and mixed-use projects. We work within your construction schedule, coordinate with other trades on site, and deliver pavement built to spec.

We’re experienced with CDOT specifications, multi-lift paving systems, phased paving (base course during construction, surface course at completion), compaction testing, and all closeout documentation. When you bring us onto a project, you get a paving sub that doesn’t create problems for the rest of your build.

Asphalt Milling

Milling is the precision process of grinding and removing damaged asphalt to a controlled depth using a rotating carbide-tipped drum. It’s the critical first step in most overlay and resurfacing projects, and it’s the most efficient way to correct grade problems, adjust drainage slopes, and prepare pavement for a new surface course.

Our milling equipment handles depths from a half inch for surface smoothing up to full-depth removal. We use automated grade controls for precision within approximately 5 millimeters. The milled material, called reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP), is recycled into new hot-mix, making asphalt one of the most recycled materials in the country.

Why Asphalt for Your Denver Property

Asphalt remains the most widely used paving material for commercial and residential surfaces. Here’s why it performs well in the Denver market:

FactorAsphalt Advantage
FlexibilityHandles freeze-thaw movement without cracking as readily as rigid surfaces
Installation speedMost projects are trafficable within 1 to 3 days
Cost efficiencyLower upfront cost per square foot than concrete for standard parking
RepairabilityPatches, overlays, and crack sealing extend life without full replacement
Recyclability93% of reclaimed asphalt is recycled into new pavement (NAPA)
Climate performanceAbsorbs heat and melts ice faster in winter, dark surface aids snow management
Customizable strengthMix design and thickness can be tuned for light residential to heavy industrial loads

What Sets Enright Apart

Denver has no shortage of paving contractors. Here’s why property managers, GCs, and homeowners choose us:

  • 30+ years paving in the Denver metro. We’ve seen every pavement problem this climate produces and know how to prevent them.
  • A+ BBB rating. We stand behind our work and treat every client the way we’d want to be treated.
  • Full-service capability. Paving, milling, overlay, sealcoating, crack sealing, striping, concrete, and ADA compliance. One contractor, one point of accountability.
  • Colorado-specific mix design. We use air-entrained hot-mix asphalt formulated for freeze-thaw durability at altitude. Not every contractor does.
  • Commercial-grade equipment. Our pavers, rollers, and milling machines deliver the compaction density and surface smoothness that professional pavement requires.
  • Honest assessments. If your pavement only needs a repair, we tell you. We don’t sell replacements to properties that don’t need them.
  • Based in the Denver metro. We’re local, not a franchise. We serve from our Henderson location and work in this market every day.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of properties does Enright Asphalt pave?

We pave commercial parking lots, multi-family complexes, industrial facilities, retail centers, medical offices, new construction developments, residential driveways, and private roads. Whether you need 500 square feet or 200,000, we scale the job to your property.

How long does an asphalt parking lot last in Denver?

A properly installed and maintained asphalt parking lot lasts 20 to 25 years. That includes sealcoating every 3 to 5 years, prompt crack sealing, and timely repairs. Without maintenance, expect 12 to 15 years. Denver’s UV intensity and freeze-thaw cycles make maintenance more important here than in most markets.

What time of year do you pave?

Our primary paving season runs from May through October when ambient temperatures consistently stay above 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Hot-mix asphalt needs warm conditions to compact properly. We can sometimes extend the season depending on weather, but planning for May through October gives the most reliable results.

Do you handle the entire project or just the paving?

We’re a full-service contractor. We handle demolition, sub-base preparation, paving, compaction, milling, sealcoating, crack sealing, striping, and ADA compliance. One contractor, one schedule, one point of contact.

How do I know if I need an overlay or a full replacement?

If the base is solid and damage is limited to the surface, an overlay at 40 to 50% of the cost of replacement is the right call. If alligator cracking covers large areas, the base has settled, or drainage has failed, full replacement addresses the root cause. We’ll give you an honest recommendation during your free estimate.

Do you provide free estimates?

Yes. We provide free, no-obligation estimates on every project. We’ll visit your property, assess the pavement, discuss your options, and deliver a clear proposal. Call 720-637-4960 or fill out our estimate form to get started.
